As a member of the Executive Committee of Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, Senator Walters is constantly working to provide affordable, accessible health care to working families and the middle class throughout Robeson and Hoke Counties. Among his other health care efforts, Senator Walters will work to:
- Ensure all children have adequate and accessible health care coverage
- Increase prescription drug benefits to the elderly and the poor
- Continue to provide funding for rural hospitals to serve patients
Senator Walters understands the economic impact expensive health care costs have on working families and the middle class, and will work to minimize the costs while expanding the coverage.
